8091 Napoleonic Swedish Infantry (ca. 1812-1815)

During the 1813-campaign Swedish troops under the command of Bernadotte, Crownprince of Sweden, saw engagements in the northern part of Germany from Hamburg to Pommerania along the coast of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Due to their commander-in-chief, in the most part the Swedes saw no heavy clashes.
Swedish units also fought along the Elbe and at Leipzig in October 1813, taking part in the storming of the Grimma Gate.
After the battle of Leipzig the Swedish army marched northward again to fight parts of the French army and their allies, especially the Danes with the aim to make Denmark a part of their own kingdom.

A very detailed article covering the Swedish army by Björn Bergérus, Stockholm - organisation, regiments, uniforms and flags - on the HaT website (http://www.hat.com/Curr2/Bx8091a.html).
Thanks to Mr. Bergérus - the information concerning regimental colours was very helpful to me to do the Swedish Infantry ROFUR-FLAGS.
