Prussian Army Flags 1806. When Friedrich Wilhelm III became King of Prussia, he introduced various changings for the infantry uniform wheras the flags of the infantry regiments underwent no changings since the Seven Years War period. Each Regiment of
infantry flew 1 "Leibfahne"
flag and 3 "Regimentsfahnen" of identical
pattern. This means 2 flags per battalion, the Leibfahne
was carried by the first battalion. Most of the Prussian
flags were lost when the army had been defeated in 1806. More detailed informations
