ROFUR-FLAGS - 1/72 as

|
French Lancers of the Line lance pennons and standards during the Napoleonic Wars period. 1812 there were 7 french
and 2 polish regiments of the line. Whereas the polish lanciers
wore the czapska and a blue dress, the french regiments had the
brass helmet as headgear and were dressed in green uniforms. The french chevaulegers-lanciers
de Ligne
carried bi-coloured pennons on their lances. The combination of
colours was different for the various regiments. French flags - more simply known as "eagles" were basically the same design for all regiments. The only difference were sizes for infantry, cavalry and artillery and in some cases for the guard. Also the regimental numbers and the names of battles in which the individual regiment had taken part differed. In 1811 the tricolore flag had been introduced to the army, some regiments of the Grande Armee got them in time for the 1812 campaign, others continued to fly their old 1804 pattern. As the lancers of the line had been established in the second halve of 1811 (the men for regiments Nr. 1 - 6 came from disbanded dragoon regiments, Nr. 7 and 8 were the former Polish lanciers de ligne) and the 30th regiment of chasseurs became Nr.9, it is very likely that they did the russian campaign with the 1811 pattern flags. Flag-staves were dark blue and topped by a gilded eagle. More detailed informations
