Figures of the HAT 8095 Set French Infantry 1808-12. The sergeant with bataillon flag is a conversion.

The flag-sergeant was converted after a colour plate in the abaove book (Uniforms of the Retreat from Moscow, by P.Haythornthwaite/M.Chappell, Blandford Press 1976).
 

Oben, unten:
Die marschierende Figur ist die Basis für den Umbau eines Trägers der Bataillonsflagge.
Als Vorlage diente die Abbildung eines Flaggenträgers des 2. Infanterie-Regiments während des Feldzugs von 1812 auf Tafel 13.
(P.Haythornthwaite/M.Chappell, Uniformen des Rußlandfeldzuges, Wilhelm Heyne Verlag München 1977).
 



 
Der Umbau war recht einfach (Abb. unten):
Die Muskete wurde durch die Fahnenstange ersetzt und die Muskete am Rücken wieder angeklebt. Der Sergeant trägt das Gewehr am Riemen umgehängt.

The conversion has not been not difficult.
The musket has carefully been cut away and the flagstave placed instead. The stave has been made of a plastic pin, flattened and cut in shape of a spearpoint at its top.
The musket then has been glued on the back as it is carried by it´s sling.
